About Meredith

Meredith's diverse career has allowed her opportunities to work with many different ensembles. Her recent collaborations have included the Pensacola Choral Society, LSU Contemporary New Music Ensemble, Interlochen Singers and World Youth Honors Choir, LSU Chamber Singers, UWF Summer Festival Chorus, Pensacola Children's Chorus, and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. She was selected as a collaborative piano fellow for the 2024 Opera Theater and VocalARTS program at the Aspen Music Festival and will join Pensacola Opera’s roster of studio artists as pianist/coach for the 2024/25 season. 2021-2024

Doctor of Musical Arts
Louisiana State University

Collaborative piano with minor in arts administration, student of Ana Maria Otamendi. Served as graduate assistant in collaborative piano department to accompany students, faculty, and school ensembles. Music director for LSU SNATS production of La Serva Padrona. Coursework in song literature, vocal accompanying, orchestral reductions, conducting, and English song.

2019-2021

Master of Music
University of Florida

Piano performance, student of Jasmin Arakawa. Served as teaching assistant for applied and group undergraduate piano classes. Presented research projects "Practical Applications of Mindfulness for Musicians" and "An Ineffable Duet: Echoes of Langston Hughes in the Songs of Ricky Ian Gordon". Coursework in music psychology, music theory pedagogy, American music, and research methods.

2015-2018

Bachelor of Music
University of West Florida

Piano performance, summa cum laude, student of Hedi Salanki. Recipient of Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award, Presidential Talent Scholarship for music, Nautilus Scholarship for academic merit. Coursework in lyric diction, collaborative piano, chamber music, vocal pedagogy, and opera workshop.
